Not far from Rieber Lake, you'll discover Cardinal Hill Reservoir which is a scenic lake, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Dixie Inn is a nice choice. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Ohio River; Dodge Gap is also a good location to look at. At Rieber Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in       the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rieber Lake descend into the 20's. It's a wonderful idea to pop by Brier Creek, it's in close proximity to Rieber Lake; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Louisville. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Village Mobile Home and Camper while you're here at Rieber Lake, and Floyds Fork is a pleasant whitewater                  spot close by. And that's not all you can do here at Rieber Lake. Lakes are fine; Bennett Lake is a lake that's near Rieber Lake; Gospel Campground is a good local campground. The high level of rain makes Rieber Lake a rather wet place; March is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is September. The great folks of Louisville like to hang out close by, and the panorama of Cundiff Hill is lovely.
