Poynters Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Crystal Onyx Cave and Park is a good place to camp nearby, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant close by course is Fox Hollow Golf Club. Do stop at Creacy Lake in close proximity to Poynters Lake, it's a charming lake. All through the months of summer highs here at Poynters Lake get into the 80's while night lows are usually in the       60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Poynters Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A trip to Mammoth Cave National Park is recommended, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Glasgow for sure. While you're here at Poynters Lake, you could also explore pretty Doyels Big Pond, and Comfort Inn Glasgow is a brilliant location to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Poynters                  Lake; Green River Bluffs Trail is a wonderful local trail; if you need a location to stay Glasgow-Days Inn is a great choice. Poynters Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March while October is regularly the driest month. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site.
