At Olive Hill Reservoir throughout the days of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows in the 20's for Olive Hill Reservoir. In case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tygarts Creek; camping at Twin Knobs Recreation Area is always a wonderful experience. Whohoo,       so many exciting things in one place! Olive Hill Reservoir rocks! The sight of Armstrong Hill from Olive Hill Reservoir is stunning. This lake is so wonderful. Little Sandy River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Dry Branch Conneoter Trail. A great close by hotel is Carter Caves State Resort, and the Big Limestone Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Olive Hill Reservoir is a pretty wet place                  regularly with lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month is January.
