Dry warm beds await you at Hatfield Inn. There's so much to do here at Nichols Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Glendale Campground is a brilliant location for that. A magnificent location to stop by near Nichols Lake is Akers Valley, and the cheerful people of Elizabethtown like to hang out nearby. For the period of the summertime here at Nichols Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and during       summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Nichols Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Nichols Lake has to offer, you can camp at Maple Springs Group Campground. Lakes? Sure, Dranes is close at hand. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Nichols Lake has it all. Super                  8 Munfordville is a good site to get some rest, and not far from Nichols Lake you'll find Stephensburg Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Nichols Lake is a wet site that gets lots of precipitation; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. The vistas at Mammoth Cave National Park will blow your mind, and you can go for a hike on the Green River Bluffs Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Nichols Lake without first going for a hike along the Echo River Spring Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water?
