Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Dixon Pond, and a splendid swamp close to Muddy Pond is Cypress Slough. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. For the duration of the warm months here at Muddy Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it descends       down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Muddy Pond are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the River to River Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you came for an overnight stay Double M Campground is a good place to camp. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Beaver Trail, and of course, this is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes,                  Long Pond is a lake in close proximity.
