That right there is plenty already, but it goes on; Mud Lake has it all. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lusk Creek, and do take a hike on the River to River Trail. It's a glorious idea to pop by Barnett Branch, it's in the neighborhood of Mud Lake, obviously you could also have a look at Barnett       Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Whoople Cat Lake is close to Mud Lake; dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Calvert City. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful site to camp here at Mud Lake is Birdsville RV and Campground, and no need to travel far to explore interesting stuff like Watson Bluff. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mud Lake a wet location; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and                  the driest month of the year is January. During the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 90's at Mud Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
