Through the summer months at Matthews Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 60's. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Matthews Lake. A golf course in the vicinity of Matthews Lake is The Brook Golf Course, and there's whitewater on Glenn's Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is Best Western Parkside Inn; some of the water close by flows, like Camden Creek. Cummins Ferry Campground And Marina is a good campground nearby.                  After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Frankfort is a delightful place to spend a night or two, and this is a popular place for folks from Frankfort.
