If you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn By Marriott Lexington/Mount Sterling is a good choice; there's great hiking along the Auxier Branch Trail. All the water falling  
   down from the sky makes Greenbrier Creek Reservoir a wet spot; March is the month that gets the most rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
