Summertime highs at Grayson Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Grayson Lake. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Grayson Lake. Paddling on Tygarts Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. An exciting thing to visit near       Grayson Lake is Grayson Dam; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Grayson is a fine spot to spend a night or two. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Camping is available at Jones Campground; a great location to check out close by is Abbott Hollow. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Grayson Lake; through                  the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. Big Sinking Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and Little Sandy River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby.
