For the duration of the days of summer at Golden Pond highs are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Golden Pond sink into the 20's. A lot of rain falls at Golden Pond; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest       month is October. Rushing Creek Campground is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Lake Barkley State Resort. On a good day at Golden Pond you can take a hike along the Hematite Trail, and Goose Hollow Camp Ground & Recreational Vehicle is a brilliant campground nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Near Golden Pond you locate Gordon Hollow which is a splendid place to stop at, and the Buffalo Trail is a glorious                  hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you're popping by Golden Pond from Murray, you won't be the only one. Lakes are great; Kentucky Lake is a lake that's right next door to Golden Pond.
