Glass Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Capital Plaza Hotel is a delightful place to get some rest, and a gorgeous lake like Hickory Hill Lake is a magnificent location to pop by. At Glass Pond during the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Glass Pond

Near Glass Pond you hit upon a golf course called Duckers Lake Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites FRANKFORT is a splendid location to spend a night or two. Glass Pond commonly gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout March, and January meanwhile is the driest month. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. spot to visit for more than one day, Kentucky River Camp Grounds is a great spot to camp nearby. Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop by Silver Lake near Glass Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Glass Pond
has to offer, you can camp at Still waters Campground Marina. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Elkhorn Creek; while you're here at Glass Pond, checking out O'Nan Bend is a must. This lake is so wonderful.
You're sure to come across some fine people from Frankfort here, and swing by Duvall Branch it's a delightful location to go to.

Gilbert Creek
 | 15 miles away I currently live on the creek and when it rains hard it is easily a class III. I've run it several times and it is definitely a difficult, but fun, run...I just so happenned to google Gilberts Creek. I was raised on Gilberts creek and I have walked every inch of the creek many times. To say it is whitewater is pretty funny, except where the river runs into the Kentucky River you can't float a boat on Gilberts creek. Most of the creek is barely ankle deep. You may want to check your info. FYI. WH.... |
