If you fancy a little side journey, try Cubby Cove; dry warm beds await you at Hatfield Inn. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant spot to camp here at First Creek Lake is Seven Springs Park Restaurant, and going for a hike on the Echo River Spring Trail is always a good adventure. The great folks of Bowling Green like to hang out close by. First Creek Lake gets lots of water; most       of the rain falls during May; October on the other hand is the driest. Bylew Creek is a delightful location to stop by, and there are good sites to look at along the Green River Bluffs Trail. And that's not all you can do here at First Creek Lake. A brilliant panorama of beautiful Indian Hill is available from First Creek Lake, and Mammoth Cave National Park is a splendid spot close by. Through the long summer days at First Creek Lake highs are commonly                  in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at First Creek Lake dip into the 20's.
