Best Western Country Squire is a great place to get some rest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Jouett Creek. Through the days of summer at Codell Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to       Codell Lake. Just can't get enough of Codell Lake. Codell Lake is a spot with many visitors from Lexington-Fayette; if you came for an overnight stay Holly Bay - Daniel Boone National Forest is a nice location to camp. Codell Lake is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through July, and October on the other hand is the driest. There are some great whitewater spots on Howard's Creek; why not camp at Grove - Daniel Boone National                  Forest if you're here at Codell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Sportland Golf Course; you'll come across a beautiful lake called Winchester Reservoir.
