Camping at Elkhorn Campground is always a good experience, and needless to say Camden Creek is a stunning stream that is worth going to. Golf can be played at The Brook Golf Course. Clifton Road Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Inn & Suites Frankfort, and Matthews Lake is a fine lake nearby.

Gilbert Creek
| I currently live on the creek and when it rains hard it is easily a class III. I've run it several times and it is definitely a difficult, but fun, run...I just so happenned to google Gilberts Creek. I was raised on Gilberts creek and I have walked every inch of the creek many times. To say it is whitewater is pretty funny, except where the river runs into the Kentucky River you can't float a boat on Gilberts creek. Most of the creek is barely ankle deep. You may want to check your info. FYI. WH.... |
