During the long summer days highs here at Clear Creek Lake get into the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Clear Creek Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Don't leave Clear Creek Lake without first going for a hike along the Carrington Rock Trail, and Cedar Cliffs is something you shouldn't miss since you're       here. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has to offer. Hicks Hollow is near Clear Creek Lake and is definitely a good location to pop by, and you'll come across a charming lake called Hawkins Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the Buck Branch Trail, and if you need a site to stay Quality Inn Morehead is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water                  paddling on Red River; while you're here, you could also pop by stunning Spring Grove Lakes. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. Some of the water close by flows, like Clear Creek; Clear Creek Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Zilpo Camp Ground is a great local campground. A perfect location to camp here at Clear Creek Lake is The Outpost Campground. Having a great time in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains is easy. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Clear Creek Lake; Cross Over Trail is a nice local trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a great spot to spend a night or two. Here at Clear Creek Lake there are plenty of folks from Mount Sterling; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Carrington Green Golf Course is around here. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
