There's some flowing water nearby, Buck Branch is a stream you can visit while you're here, unsurprisingly you could also pop by Mullins Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Chloe Lake. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Chloe Lake. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Cumberland Plateau

(...) Been a guide on this river several years and this river is one of the east coasts best. This is the area called the miracle mile. One rapid called el'horrendo was thought unrunnable several years ago. The maze is a very dangerous rapid with an undercut a river right near bottom of rapid that all the current pushes you toward and if you was under there is no way for a rescue. It will be a recovery. Awesome river have fun and paddle safe.... |
