Kentucky has many beautiful lakes and Cave Run Lake is one of them. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Cave Run Lake. If you came for an overnight stay The Outpost Campground is a splendid location to camp, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Buckskin Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There are brilliant spots to discover along the Shellow Flats Wildlife Trail. Hog Hollow is a delightful location to spend some

| | time at, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a pleasant choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Dane Greer Hill is clearly visible from Cave Run Lake; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Red River. Carey Branch is a stream that you may run into while you're here, and going for a hike on the Hog Pen Trail is always a great adventure. The Cumberland Plateau Mountains scenery is always beautiful.

There's no way someone can get bored here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Here at Cave Run Lake there are plenty of people from Mount Sterling; Quality Inn Morehead is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Cave Run Lake gets a lot
of water; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Summer at Cave Run Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into
the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Cave Run Lake drop into the 10's.
Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in
the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. For you golfers we recommend close by Eagle Trace Golf Course, and why not camp at Buckskin Run Camper Park while you're here at Cave Run Lake.
