At Cannon Lake all through the summer highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Cannon Lake are in the 20's. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. A nice site to pop by right next door to Cannon Lake is Barley Hollow, and during your spree here       you'll meet some folks from Middlesborough for sure. Cannon Lake gets a lot of water; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Cannon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Mountain State Park; don't forget to take a tremendous little journey to Callebs Creek. A brilliant nearby hotel is Best Western Wilderness Trail Inn. There's                  so much to do here at Cannon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Clay County Campground is a tremendous location for that. Cannon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. You absolutely have to adore the Cumberland Plateau Mountains.
