The Cumberland Plateau Mountains is unbeatable! The smiling folks of Mount Sterling like to hang out close by, and Days Inn West Liberty is a pleasant location to get some rest. Campton Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Middle Fork Campground is a fine local campground, and there's some flowing water close by, Bear Branch is a stream you can take a look at while you're here. Campton Lake usually gets a       great deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during July, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Having a fine time at Campton Lake is painless. You need to pop by Rock Bridge Arch while you're here at Campton Lake, and a delightful place to camp here at Campton Lake is Whittleton Campground. Near Campton Lake you find the Swiftcamp Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail, and there are other places here than Campton                  Lake, for example Mill Creek Lake. Campton Lake is a beautiful lake in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Wildcat Trail is always a good adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Red River offers some perfect whitewater. Now, you may believe that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. The Rock Bridge Trail is a glorious hiking trail in the neighborhood of Campton Lake, and Panbowl Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. Summertime highs at Campton Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's.
