Buffalo Lake is a nice lake to visit. If you need a site to stay COMFORT SUITES is a great choice, and Elizabethtown City Golf Course is a great golf course close by. There's so much to do here at Buffalo Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crossroads Campgrounds is a great place for that; a quick tour to Buffalo Creek is without doubt a great idea.

You can run the rapids of Otter Creek in close proximity to Buffalo Lake, and Buffalo Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Elizabethtown KOA is a good local campground. Summertime highs at Buffalo Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is a little cooler of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and
during the dark hours in the winter at Buffalo Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. Not far from Buffalo Lake, you'll come across Valley Creek Reservoir which is a pretty lake, and you'll probably meet some folks from Elizabethtown here.

Sportsman Lake isn't stocked regularly and the fishing isn't that great, though there are some big guys in there; you have to work for it. Chances are any fishing you do are going to be to relax and not to catch. It is a pretty area though and a quiet gated community.
