After a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - HAZARD is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Redbird Crest Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at GuestHouse Inn & Suites Hazard, and Buckhorn Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Willie Begley Memorial RV Park is a fine local campground.       This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Summertime highs at Buckhorn Lake usually tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows during the wintertime for Buckhorn Lake tend to be in the 10's. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, not sufficient time. Do visit Buckhorn Dam while you're here at Buckhorn Lake, and there's                  some flowing water close by, Anderson Branch is a stream you can stop by while you're here.
