There's glorious hiking along the Blue Jacket Trail; while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Cincinnati-Middletown. Man, is there plenty of fun stuff to do in the vicinity of Boone Lake. Good hiking is available along the Little Turtle Trail, and camping is available at Oak Creek Campground. If you came for an overnight stay Crittenden Koa Kampground is a great site       to camp, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Walton is a perfect choice. A lot of rain falls at Boone Lake; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. At Boone Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's; nighttime lows at Boone Lake through the wintertime typically drop into                  the 10's. Head up to Perfect North and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. Float down the rapids of Gunpowder Creek in a kayak, and since you're here you can play some golf at Boone Links Golf Course.
