Through the long summer days highs here at Big Pond reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while Big Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express EVANSVILLE - WEST, and Big Pond is great enough       to spend more than a day at, Burdette Park is a great local campground. What would a place like Big Pond be without out of the ordinary nearby characteristics like Cypress Bend. Big Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. You could also stop by William Hamilton Lake while you're here at Big Pond; it's nearby, and pop by nearby Grassy Pond Slough. Big Pond is not the only spot nearby, Servel Lake is a nearby lake. There's so much                  to do here at Big Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Rocky Falls Campground is a wonderful location for that. Big Pond gets a lot of water; throughout the month of May you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January.
