Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Gilbert Creek; camping is available at Guist Creek Marina Campground. Paddling on Benson Creek is so much fun; if you need a place to stay Lexington-Days Inn Frankfort is       a splendid choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Beaver Lake. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Beaver Lake are in the 10's.
