Best Western Ashbury Inn is a fine location to get some rest; you can run the rapids of Harrod's Creek. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Baxter Lake. A pretty lake like Lake Jericho near Baxter Lake is a splendid spot to visit, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Little Kentucky River. This lake is so wonderful. Callis Grove Campground is a great campground       nearby, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Eagle Creek Golf Course. For the duration of the summer months at Baxter Lake highs are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 60's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 30's; night lows in the 20's for Baxter Lake. Lake Jericho Recreational Area is a fine local campground; getting to Bartlett Fork from Baxter Lake is trouble-free.                  Baxter Lake gets a lot of water; May is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
