The beauty of Barton Lake is reason enough to stop by. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Bardstown, and if you came for an overnight stay Holt's Campground and Fishing Lake is a nice location to camp. There are other sites here than Barton Lake, for example Sympson Lake, and camping is available at My Old Kentucky Home State Park.

If you need a place to stay Best Western General Nelson is a glorious choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Salt River. This lake is so wonderful.
Some close by water includes Rowan Creek, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Maywood Country Club is nearby.
