There's so much to do here at Barren River Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Carter Hill RV Park is a great site for that, and Barren River Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cedar Hill Campground is a pleasant local campground. During the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 80's at Barren River Lake while night lows are generally in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are usually       in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Barren River Lake. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Glasgow is a perfect choice; there's pleasant hiking along the Green River Bluffs Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Barren River Lake without first going for a hike along the Echo River Spring Trail, and a great nearby hotel is Glasgow-Days Inn. Barren River Lake gets much water; most of the rain falls throughout December while October                  is usually the driest month. Take a side tour to Difficult Creek, and Barren River Dam is a lovely spot.
