Have a good hiking adventure along the Shore to Shore Horse Trail; there's whitewater on Lusk Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. But wait, there's more to do close to Barnett Lake. Get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Bear Branch. A good site to camp here at Barnett Lake is Birdsville RV and Campground; if you need a place to stay Days Inn Calvert City is a good choice. A gorgeous lake like Lake Tacumseh       right next door to Barnett Lake is a tremendous location to stop by, and Big Creek is close to Barnett Lake and is always a bliss to check out. Summertime highs at Barnett Lake usually tend to be in the 90's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Barnett Lake plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.                  Camping is available at Thirty Four Ranch Campground; do take a hike on the River to River Trail.
