Wary Lake

I have the complete history of Wary Lake and would like to share with you all a as it was in my family for 70 years as a lease for hunting and fishing and the old booze still that was there(probation) and who built the old cabin and members by name of the place and how it was established in 1889 and then built on to for the history of Saline county and should be in the complete history of the public. The terrific card games and poker marathons where prom and
lasted days. Dr's and select few have lost and won small fortunes in poker games and it served as my home during very cold winters when nothing else would due for my needs. It was the Salina Country Club crowds very private club.
I shot my first duck there at age of a green wing teal. The history of the old cabin and how the original Globe wood burning Kitchen stove were tended. Carved in the sandstone fireplace is 1889 when constructed and 1969 by kids during a terrific Beer bust. I cut Hedge wood for the fire place and the stove in the dining room and the names of the folks of which stored booze there when Sunday Booze was not sold. It was my home for one solid year in 1976 and all involved.
My name is Patrick Reread and am the sole surviving member before sold. The Wary Lake Cabin should be in the history books. It at one time was country school house and added on to by the year and how it got the name WARY Lake. My
Grandfather L.W.Rexroad built the dam with horses and slip's. It should be a History land mark! I tried to buy at auction but it sold for $5,000 an acre. respond as it is most interesting! The Booze that was made was sold at the Ottawa county refreshment stand by the Sheriff for extra revenue. Much info for folks visiting. Says Patrick
