If you come at the right time of year, Kansas River offers some great whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Springhill Suites By Marriott Lawrence. A common amount of rainfall falls here at State Lake; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February. Camping at State Lake is good fun, Lawerence Koa Kampground is a good local campground, and you'll in all probability meet       some folks from Lawrence here.
