Not much rainfall falls here at Lake Scott; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Lake Scott through the long summer days are in the 90's, and the overnight is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Scott are in the 10's.       A lake nearby is Christy Lake; Lake Scott is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Scott State Park is a magnificent local campground. Why not check out Scott County State Park Dam if you're here; no need to travel far to stop at exciting stuff like McBride Monument. Best Western El-Quartelejo Inn & Suites is a good site to get some rest; if you came to camp Circle Drive Campground is a fine location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. After                  a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Oakley is a good location to spend a night or two, and do put some time aside to spend at Barrel Springs if you're here at Lake Scott. So much exciting stuff next to Lake Scott, just astonishing.
