The yearly rain here at Sand Lake is about average; June is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This is a glorious neighborhood for people who like lakes. Tuttle Creek Lake is a lake around here; if you came for an overnight stay Tuttle Creek Lake is a tremendous location to camp. High temperatures at Sand Lake through the summertime       are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Sand Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fairman Lake is in the neighborhood of Sand Lake, and don't leave Sand Lake without first checking out Hunters Island. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Sand Lake. Fairfield Inn By Marriott Manhattan is a                  good location to get some rest, and needless to say Shane Creek flows through this neighborhood. The wonderful people of Manhattan like to hang out close by. Tuttle Creek State Park is a splendid local campground, and here at Sand Lake you can catch a glimpse of Prospect Hill. This lake is so wonderful.
