From a rainfall point of view Quivira Lake is a quite normal location; September is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the       month with the least moisture. A delightful lake like Black Swan Lake in the neighborhood of Quivira Lake is a great site to take a look at; if you come at the right time of year, Kansas River offers some brilliant whitewater. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Blue River, and Walnut Grove RV Park is a perfect campground nearby. During your spree to Quivira Lake you'll meet some people from Kansas City for sure, and if you like skiing, you're                  in luck; Snow Creek is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. During the summertime highs here at Quivira Lake get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Quivira Lake all through the wintertime regularly dip into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by nearby Little Turkey Creek if you're here at Quivira Lake, and Quivira Lake is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Woodland Acres is a nice spot to camp nearby.
