Olathe Lake is a beautiful 172 acre lake located in Olathe Kansas. Boating (restricted to 5mph) no personal watercraft ( jetskis) Sailing small boats is excellent. One drawback is no dock near remp which will be rectified soon.

There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Kansas River; a tremendous place to camp here at New Olathe Lake is Hillsdale State Park. An average amount of rain falls at New Olathe Lake; during September this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime highs at New Olathe Lake typically tend to be in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Highs all through the wintertime are ordinarily

If you need a location to stay Sleep Inn Olathe is a good choice; a golf course close by is Prairie Highlands Golf Course. This place, New Olathe Lake, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff.
