During the months of summer highs here at Lake of the Forest reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lake of the Forest. You'll meet a lot of people from Kansas City here, and if you need a place to stay Chateau Avalon is a good choice. There's some flowing water nearby, East Mission Creek       is a stream you can have a look at while here; if you came for an overnight stay Walnut Grove RV Park is a splendid site to camp. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Lake of the Forest. You don’t have to go far from Lake of the Forest to make out the water at Lake of the Forest Dam, and you can run the rapids of Kansas River. Lake of the Forest is a good place of common rainfall; September is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's                  the driest. What would winter be without some skiing at Snow Creek; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express VILLAGE WEST. This lake is so wonderful.
