Yellowwood Lake is a rather wet place regularly with a good deal of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Gulletts Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. Bloomington Travelodge is a fine place to get some rest, and       a wooded vicinity nearby is Yellowwood State Forest. You could also stop by Somerset Lake since you're here at Yellowwood Lake; it's nearby, and Caldwell Hollow is a great spot to spend some time. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Davis Branch is a stream you can check out while here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Three Lakes Trail.
