University Lake gets lots of water; most of the rain falls during July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around University Lake; Three Lakes Trail is a great local trail, and you're sure to run into some cheerful folks from Bedford       here. Camping is available at Wheeler Mission Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Bloomington Travelodge. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called Bethal Lake near University Lake, and you can run the rapids of McCormick's Creek. For the duration of the days of summer at University Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime                  at University Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Gulletts Creek. So much exciting stuff to do here at University Lake, too great to be true.
