What a place this is for outdoors people. This is a popular spot for people from Bedford, and whitewater paddling is great on Gulletts Creek. University Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Get covered with water paddling on McCormick's Creek; do take a look at Griffy Reservoir, it's a picturesque lake. For the duration of the days of summer at University Lake highs are typically in the 80's. When the       night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at University Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
