There are some fine whitewater spots on Wabash River, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Gas City is a delightful choice. Not far from Taylor Lake you get some tremendous water scenery at Taylor Lake Dam. Taylor Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; during the month                  of July you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February. All through the days of summer, highs usually are in the 80's at Taylor Lake with overnight lows in the 60's.
