     You'll find a beautiful lake called Bartmess Lake near Souders Lake; close by you stumble on the Blue Jacket Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Harrison is a splendid location to spend a night or two; get yourself into a kayak and hit Great Miami River. Stay the night at Higher Ground Camping Center, and you can go for a hike on the West Shore Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at  
   Souders Lake; throughout May this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
While you're here at Souders Lake, you could also stop at scenic Lake Roseanna, and why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Grand Oak Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Perfect North; Souders Lake is not far at all from Cincinnati-Middletown. For the period of the summertime, highs mostly are
 
               in the 80's at Souders Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's while Souders Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Gunpowder Creek. Just can't get enough of Souders Lake. Going for a hike on the Little Turtle Trail is always a wonderful adventure; hey, Cooper Run is a great local stream. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HARRISON is a good spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Souders Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Springs Campground is a wonderful place for that.

Great Miami River
Having paddled the 70 miles of the Great Miami, the WW is great for beginners or rec paddlers wanting to have a little excitement added to their trip.  Water Quality is good, in fact it can be better then the Little Miami during low water.  Best time to hit the GM is when it is running between 2500cfs and 3800cfs (Hamilton USGS gage if your looking for some WW.  There isn't too many places in the summer in the Midwest you can find good water and waves, but the Great Miami still flows well in August....50 hole is not much of a surf and it is a porta john.......

A few fellow snowboarders and I work and board at Paoli Peaks but unfortunately, we've been hit with warm wind and bad weather. We were dying get back to work and snowboard but it didn't happen. Sunday, we all packed up and headed up to Perfect North. I r...There's not many ski resorts around these parts but Perfect North is quite nice hill to ski on if you live in the area and you need to ski a bit....

wow thats crazy......most times of the year. but one spring day a thunder storm had just pass and go over and when we came throuh ole gunpowder was cooking pretty good we went and got his canoe and put in at the bridge thier at camp ernst rd. the water was white caping man we were moving really fast it was great. we went about a mile when we saw a tree that had fallen all the way across the creek we started to paddle for the bank when we got up to the bank i push to get us on the bank and my paddle broke in half in my hand. so here we are about a mile down creek with one paddle.so much for old wooded paddles we packed the canoe around the tree and put back in well needless to say its hard to steer a canoe with one paddle . we met the first tree limb that was hanging over it knock our butts out of the boat .were going down the creek with the canoe upside down . there is no getting your footing . we finally got to a calm spot i guess a deep pool were we could get to the bank flip the canoe upright and proceed again it wasnt very long til the same type of deal happend again this time leaving the canoe pi...
