Do go to Le-An-Wa Lake close to Shannon Lake, it's a stunning lake, and Indianapolis South Knights Inn is a great place to get some rest. Shannon Lake is a brilliant location to camp, Happy Hollow Trailer Lodge is a brilliant location, and it's a good       idea to stop at Brushy Fork. Shannon Lake is a place with many visitors from Indianapolis, and one of the dominant marks of the surroundings of Shannon Lake is Mann Hill. For the period of the warm months at Shannon Lake highs are typically in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Shannon Lake drop into the 10's.                  The yearly rain here at Shannon Lake is about average; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January.
