Mac Lyn Museum is a perfect local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Batesville. From a rain point of view Shady Lake is a pretty typical site; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Shady Lake in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. This lake is so wonderful. Shady Lake is not the only place close by, Gemco Lake is a close       by lake, and you're sure to run into some nice people from Connersville here. Shady Lake is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, White Water Camping is a glorious spot to camp nearby; obviously Jim Run is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. If you get bored of Shady Lake, you could also stop by nearby Triple Lakes; if you need a place to stay Centerville/Richmond Area is a pleasant choice. Summer at Shady Lake arrives with high temperatures                  in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's.
