Salter Lake is not far at all from Bloomington, and Dyer Lake is a good lake nearby. Hickory Hills Campground is a fine campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mill Creek. Salter Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Misty Morning Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, and Dillon Hill is pretty and can be spotted       from here. A pretty lake like Beechwood Lake next to Salter Lake is a perfect spot to have a look at, and Salter Lake Dam is not far at all from Salter Lake. Salter Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Salter Lake. After a long day outdoors Cloverdale-Days Inn Greencastle is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and                  there's whitewater on McCormick's Creek for all you adrenaline kick people.
