Old Oakland City Lake Dam is worth checking out since you're here, and a fine close by hotel is Princeton Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Old Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Jasper, and Old Lake is not the only place nearby, New Lake is a nearby lake. During the summer at Old Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Daytime highs all       through the winter are in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Old Lake tend to be in the 20's. If you came for an overnight stay Weather Rock Camp Ground is a nice spot to camp, and if you need a location to stay Motel Manor is a wonderful choice. For you golfers we recommend close by Oakland City Golf Club, and why not camp at Lynnville Park while you're here at Old Lake. Be careful coming to Old Lake, you might not ever want to go home again.                  It's a fine idea to have a look at Turkey Creek, it's right next door to Old Lake.
