The fishing was great and the lake very clean. We camped with 5 families and had a wonderful time. Our family is looking forward to next year's vacation. We caught a 16 Bass and the park even took a picture of it for us. Very friendly atmosphere. At Lake Minnehaha during the months of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the 30's while Lake Minnehaha overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Time spent at Marquette Park Beach close to Lake Minnehaha is always delightful, and Candy Stripe Camp Site is a magnificent       local campground. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Lake Minnehaha; through June this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. So many enjoyable things near Lake Minnehaha, simply impressive. For you golfers we recommend nearby Cressmoor Country Club, and there are other places here than Lake Minnehaha, for example Long Lake. Why not camp at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp while you're here at Lake Minnehaha, and a nice close                  by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Portage, In. If time allows, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a national park worth taking a look at; Crisman Ditch is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.
