The yearly rain here at Mink Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is June, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Mink Lake truly is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. While you're here at Mink Lake you will meet lots of people from nearby Michigan City-La Porte; Super 8 Valparaiso is a great spot to       get some rest. Mink Lake Golf Course is a tremendous golf course nearby, and a delightful close by hotel is Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Mink Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Mink Lake through the wintertime mostly descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are splendid places to visit,                  and Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is no exception, and if you came for an overnight stay Mink Lake is a magnificent site to camp.
