Lake Marion is a great place to visit for more than one day, Green Acres Campgrounds is a great place to camp nearby; get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Rock Creek. An exciting thing to visit near Lake Marion is Lincoln       Country Club Lake Dam, and if you're dropping by from Marion, you won't be the only one. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lake Marion; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Best Western Gas City, and since you're here, you could also visit striking Taylor Lake. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Gas City is a pleasant site to spend a night or two;                  whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wabash River. The warmest time of the year at Lake Marion arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 60's.
