For the duration of the months of summer at Long Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Long Pond. Swamps can be such interesting places, explore Moore Swamp if you're here       at Long Pond, and close to Long Pond you stumble on a golf course called Mink Lake Golf Course. From a precipitation point of view Long Pond is a pretty typical spot; through June this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Long Pond, you'll discover Carlson                  Pond which is a stunning lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Sand Creek Campground is a wonderful spot to camp.
