During the warmest time of the year at Long Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while Long Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's. Long Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; all through       June this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton, and do take a look at Loomis Lake Dam while you're here. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Long Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mink Lake; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf                  course like Mink Lake Golf Course. Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a very tremendous location to take a look at near Long Lake. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sand Creek Campground is a brilliant spot for that. After a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Valparaiso, IN is a nice place to spend a night or two.
