Long Lake is not far at all from Michigan City-La Porte, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Deep Lake is one of those nearby. During the warmest time of the year at Long Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. A nice nearby hotel is Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton, and do take a look at Loomis Lake Dam while you're here. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Long Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Mink Lake; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf | |

course like Mink Lake Golf Course. Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is a very tremendous location to take a look at near Long Lake. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sand Creek Campground
is a brilliant spot for that. After a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Valparaiso, IN is a nice place to spend a night or two. Lakes are great; Loomis Lake is a lake that's near Long Lake.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp
 | 11 miles away We had a great time during our vacation during Labor Day weekend 2006. We camped with 5 families and there was always something to do. Entertainment was none stop and the fishing with family was great.

Lake Minnehaha
 | 11 miles away Our family spent Labor Day Weekend at this RV campground. The fishing was great and the lake very clean. We camped with 5 families and had a wonderful time. Our family is looking forward to next year's vacation. We caught a 16 Bass and the park even took a picture of it for us. Very friendly atmosphere.
