During your stay at Long Lake do go to close by Marquette Park Beach, and Grand Boulevard Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. During the summer here at Long Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Long Lake fall into the 10's. Willow       Creek is a perfect local stream, and playing golf is lots of fun at Cressmoor Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Candy Stripe Camp Site, and while you're here, you could also go to scenic Lake Minnehaha. Long Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp is a good place to camp nearby, and a tremendous close by hotel is Comfort Inn Portage. Long Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation;                  June is the month that gets the most rain while February is generally the driest month. Just can't get enough of Long Lake.
