J Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, 3-point Lake Campgrounds is a wonderful local campground, and McCormick's Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by. A pleasant nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites MARTINSVILLE, and you don’t have to go far from J Lake to distinguish the water at Amy Lake Dam.       This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Martinsville Inn is a great place to get some rest; obviously, this is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes, Amy Lake is a lake in close proximity. J Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January. Whitewater paddling is great on Mill Creek. Now, you may assume that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at J Lake.                  Lakes are good; Guthrie Lake is a lake that's near J Lake. There's so much to do here at J Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Baker's Echo Lake is a good place for that. For the period of the summer months at J Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's.
